1. Removing Existing Grass

To create a fresh foundation, we remove the old lawn using a sod cutter, which slices beneath the surface to lift away up to 2 inches of grass and soil. This prevents future growth from interfering with the new sod. Our team disposes of the old grass, leaving a clean slate for installation.

2. Adding Fresh Topsoil & Smoothing the Ground

We spread a nutrient-rich topsoil layer to help the new sod establish strong roots. Proper grading ensures the ground slopes slightly away from structures, preventing water pooling and drainage issues.

3. Compacting & Leveling the Surface

Before laying sod, we use a water-filled sod roller to compact the soil. This step creates a smooth, even surface, preventing air pockets that can cause uneven growth.

4. Layering & Securing the Fresh Sod

We carefully unroll fresh sod rolls, placing them in a staggered brickwork pattern to strengthen seams and improve water retention. After laying, we roll over the turf again to press the roots into the soil, eliminating air pockets for even growth.

5. Watering & Initial Lawn Care

Proper watering is critical for root development. We provide a detailed watering schedule tailored to your soil and climate, ensuring your sod establishes quickly.
